Beginning as an outdated, rustic cabin in the woods, The Lodge, run by ACS Getaways, needed a facelift perfect for short-term rental guests. We opted to stick to mostly cosmetic updates because honestly, it didn’t need much more and we really loved the original charm. Some of those updated included new flooring and counters in the kitchen and office spaces, replacements for most pieces in the bathroom, a fresh coat of paint here and there, and updated lighting. For decor, we chose to keep things rustic, eclectic, and secondhand where we could. We perused small businesses, Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, and more, finding incredible pieces like a gorgeous velvet Article accent chair. I think the results speak for themselves and show that you don’t need a full gut to make the bones of a good place extra beautiful.
